What a nurse registry actually is

This is worth understanding, because it changes what you're buying.

A home health agency employs its caregivers. It assigns you whoever is scheduled, and that person works for the agency.

A nurse registry is licensed to refer independent licensed professionals. The clinician isn't an employee being dispatched — they're an independent contractor matched to your situation, and you have a say in the match. Registries are licensed and regulated by AHCA under Chapter 400, Part IX, Florida Statutes, the same agency that licenses home health agencies.

Neither model is universally better. The registry model tends to suit families who want continuity with a specific person, more flexibility in scheduling, and a say in who comes into their home.

What we coordinate

Routine requests are typically coordinated within about two hours. Urgent coverage we target under sixty minutes. Distance affects that — a Moore Haven request will take longer than a Cape Coral one — and we'll tell you honestly what's realistic rather than promise a time we can't hold.

Every professional, verified before placement

Everyone referred through the registry is Level 2 background screened through the AHCA Clearinghouse, license-verified at the source rather than self-reported, checked against federal OIG and SAM exclusion lists monthly, and carries their own liability coverage.

That verification happens before the first shift. Not after.
