Gulfside Living Healthcare Services, LLC is a Florida nurse registry serving all seven counties of AHCA Region 8 — Lee, Charlotte, Collier, Sarasota, Hendry, Glades and DeSoto. We refer credentialed, independently licensed nurses, certified nursing assistants, home health aides, and homemaker companions to private-pay clients and to contracting specialty pharmacies and physician practices. Our goal is simple: connect people who need skilled or supportive care in their own home with experienced, vetted Florida professionals who can provide it.
Gulfside Living Healthcare Services, LLC was founded in 2026 by Felicia Hernandez-Fortunato, RN. She started the Registry after seeing a gap in the community: families and contracting partners wanted reliable, named, fully credentialed nurses and caregivers — not just whoever was available — and clinicians wanted the flexibility of 1099 work without sacrificing professionalism. Felicia built the Registry to serve both sides.
Home infusion is our center of gravity. Infusion visits at Gulfside are RN-only — never delegated to an LPN or an aide — and several of our nurses come from emergency and critical care backgrounds, which is exactly the experience a first dose at home calls for.
Around that core we coordinate skilled nursing, post-surgical and orthopedic recovery, vascular access care, and the everyday help that lets someone stay in their own home.
Felicia is a Florida-licensed Registered Nurse, and she leads the Registry's day-to-day operations, contractor credentialing and care coordination herself. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Management from Hodges University, an Associate of Science in Nursing from Florida SouthWestern State College, and certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC and Charge Nurse Leadership.
She came to nursing after fifteen years with Estero Fire Rescue as a Firefighter and Paramedic, the last ten of them as a Lieutenant, and she trained for a Battalion Chief position. She also taught paramedic students at Medical Career Institute and Edison State College. She earned her RN in 2020 and spent five years in the ER and Trauma Center at Lee Memorial as a Critical Care, Trauma and ER Nurse, the last three in a Charge RN role. She also works as an RN case manager, coordinating care for Medicaid members across Southwest Florida.
Felicia is an infusion nurse herself, and she still takes cases. She has personally administered IVIG and biologics — including Skyrizi, Tremfya, Humira, Stelara and Remicade — along with IV antibiotics and anti-inflammatory therapies, through PICCs, ports, midlines and peripheral IVs. When a referral comes to Gulfside, it is reviewed by a nurse who has done the work.
We are a referral-based nurse registry: we do not employ caregivers as W-2 staff and we do not directly provide clinical care. All caregivers we refer are 1099 independent contractors who hold their own active Florida licenses or certifications, maintain their own continuing education, and carry their own professional liability insurance. We perform every contractor credentialing step required by Florida law — Level 2 background screening, OIG/SAM exclusion checks, license verification, references, skills competency, and BLS/ACLS/PALS where applicable — and we re-verify every twelve months. Our minimum liability-insurance requirement for clinical contractors is $1,000,000 per claim and $3,000,000 aggregate.
